things: one is to remove the TSV (throttle suction valve) and the other is to verify you have (some 1993s have it) the later style condenser that is designed to cooldown the hotter (on compression) r134a. If you do not do the TSV, I am pretty sure you will get little cooling if any. If you do not do the condenser, your system will cool well when the car is moving and plenty of air is blasting the front of the car. When stopped in traffic, vent temps will rise because the refrigerant will not be cooled sufficiently prior to expansion. Lastly but not leastly, on coolish days, the evaporator will freeze w/o a secondary temperature control. In non clutch cycling, r12 systems that was the TSV, in r134a systems, the device is called the TCA (thermo control amp). Evap freeze is less of a problem if your car does not have auto a/c. The TCA can be had from a newer Nissan and all it needs is exposure to the downstream evap flow of its sensor, 12VDC, ground and a "signal" wire to the ECU. The exact pin ID is on this forum.
