I currently have a 1990 (6/89) NA that I swapped to TT. At the time of the swap I did not do the AC, but now that I am stationed in South Florida its time for AC. I purchased all the AC lines from the firewall to compressor and back from another TT.net member who rolled his car. Not sure what year his was but it is R134. I have installed all of the lines, condensor, reciever/dryer, with all new O-rings but when I got to the compressor the lines were clocked at the wrong angle. The compressor I have on it is from the JDM TT. I assume it is different due to being set up for right hand drive? Can anyone tell me what year/type of compressor I need for my current R134 lines? will I have any issues getting the belt to line up belt (number of ribs, or angle)?
