Subject	Idling a little high

Message	I just noticed my car is idling right at or a little over 1000rpm. It had always idled at the very first mark on the tach (500 or so?). What suddenly could be causing this,and how do I adjust it back to it`s normal idle? I searched "high idle" and every pertinent post said "this post no longer exists in database" Thanks in advance and my apologies if this is a really obvious fix :P
