there is however a detail that I would like to shed light on. The ground whole in the alternator casing was stripped so I pulled a nut off of a stud on the casing and attached the ground there. Could there be a problem there if the studs are attached to the coil? Also I tested the voltage on the battery with the car running i got 14.4 volts or so (oscillation)
