| and the likely horrible street characteristics. The rods can only take 500-600 HP max, for 1000 HP youre going to be looking at replacing everything. Anyway, to answer your direct questions: They are 2 bolt mains with a one piece halo girdle design (all main caps and the halo girdle are one cast piece). Which is nice because it adds rigidity over other, isolated caps. In order to run 4 bolt mains you will be looking at a custom machined billet steel chunk and a bit of machining (I don't think anyone has done it on the Z before, but I have done it on a V8) On top of that you will need ARP studs and custom length studs for the extra bolts. I'm not expert on the crank (get it!?) but if I were building it I would be searching for a billet stroker crank. Heads can run 25 psi with studs and good gaskets or o-rings. No idea on the tranny.
