Working on a friend's 90 TT: ~150k miles, Early Style 370CC injectors. EGR, AIV, PRVR recently deleted. I think that's all the relevant info needed for now. #1 cylinder has been dead for a while now. Swapped coil packs, swapped spark plugs. It was ohming properly but intermittently (sometimes no reading), so we replaced with a used early-style 370CC that was supposed to be good, that does ohm properly. The injector does click when running. It beeps from the injector connector to the ECU pin. The second wire on the injector connector beeps to the other injectors (per the ECCU diagram). Injector clicks when running. Did the full test on the S2 PTU, and even swapped it for another known good. Connection from PTU to coil pack beeps. We even tried very briefly connecting #2's coil pack connector to #1, and it didn't change anything (misfires, etc). Fuel rail is grounded, grounds connected to plenum, they even have an extra ground running to the side of the plenum. I feel like we've done more, but can't remember it all. Probably unrelated, but this also just started. All fuses are good, so we think it might just be timing control module: wipers don't work, clock and dome lights don't work, a/c control pod doesn't respond to buttons...but map lights do work. I will eventually look up wiring diagram for this, but just throwing it out there in case it could be related. Shoot me some questions and knowledge-bomb me! I feel like we've been through all of the basics, and not sure where to go next.
