Subject	Oil Pump Issue ... again

Message	So now that the engine is finally built and install...there is a crazy lifter tick. Sounds like she's a diesel engine! My mechanic says there's no oil pressure. Now, the brand new oil pump I bought, was from his friend. Looked brand new when I got it. Question is this... Is there any way to test the oil pump? Outside of the car? And, is there a way to refurbish it? New rings or seals or something? Basically, is there anything I can do to check that its working or not, or fix it? Or do i just junk it and spend another $150 on a new one?
