| I've never had to deal with it before on my own car, never heard it on anyone else's car. So I'm wondering if that's what this is? It has the classic "rocks in a soda can sound". [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPf4IAsjcRM ] Backstory. I've been busy with life for the last year, and largely the car has just sat in various states of project. The nearly full gas in the tank is probably a year old because of this, maybe more. Drove it 6 months ago when I moved, and didn't hear this sound. Finally got it all back together yesterday, started it up and while revving it a few times, heard this noise. Only happens at 4500 rpm and above, and generally only when rapidly pressing the accelerator. Haven't driven it yet, so not sure if it will change when under load. I'm guessing the culprit to be bad gas, and put a bottle of octane booster in the tank last night. So far, the noise is still there. The projects I was working on were all interior, nothing to do with the engine. Going to go out and drive it some today, taking it easy and hope to burn off some of this gas, so I can put some fresh stuff in. You guys think I'm on the right track with this? Thanks.
