hey , i read ur problems , my advice , double check the ptu connectors . my Z was doing the same cranking but wont start. double check the spark plugs by removing the coil pack out and remove one spark plug as well , this is a 2 person job to check yourself to be sure. , how i did mines by watching the spark plug to make sure i get spark. i was not getting spark at the time. i move around my wire for the ptu then it started up n turn off after a few mins. then i notice the ptu gets hot as well. please check the ptu sensor located on the passenger side cover by the fan clutch. u may need to unscrew it n feel to see if it gets burning hot. if it do remove it with the wire over the other side of the motor or hold it away so it gets air to stay cold. n hopefully it should start n give spark only if u not getting spark. let me know if anything happens . i will try to follow up with you asap. good luck. NOTE : if the ptu gets hot . u need to relocate it like this shown on youtube link. i did it to mines n i always have spark jus working on my boost leak.
