Hi guys, I've got a gnarly hood squeak coming from the area of the passenger side hinge. Pressing down on the hinge does not make it creak. I've tried cranking down the bolts according to the "robo" doc: [ http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/85450.html ] I've installed new bump stops from Nissan. Pressing down on the bump stops doesn't make it creak. I've got lithium grease on every joint including the latch, and the bump stops. Don't think it's the latch as the sound definitely comes from the passenger side. Plus, I don't want to drill out the latch supports, as I don't want my hood misaligned. Seems worse with a combo of colder weather, and after driving on certain pot holed streets of San Francisco. So frustrated, I brought it into the shop, but of course, they could not repeat the problem. I could not get it to creak in front of them. Of course, creaks at every bump in the road the very next day. I'm getting frustrated beyond the point of reason and I'm not sure what to do. I was even willing to pay someone else to fix it but I couldn't even pull that off. HELP! Could it actually be a suspension component doing all this nasty squeaking and creaking????
