in a bit of DA's defense, the hose that was off would have never even have made it out of the shop (the clutch booster hose) and with the hose that is on the care beign the incorrect the clamp doesn't seat right... otherwise, your throttle blades were out of adjustment letting the driver side open about 10% before the passenger side (i fixed that and made them even).. however, with a set of white TT based injectors, one of which is out of spec and the others are probably not flowing correctly... i have been working with them on the problems as there are many (pointing them in right direction and testing), but the conversations as to what needs to be done i have not been apart of so i'm not sure what Jonathan is explaining to you. to get your car back in order, new injectors and spark plugs would be a great place to start. the wiring specialties wiring harness isn't the best either (clips plugs and wiring pins are weak). and if i remember correctly, you have the beginnings of rod knock... the new DA owners may be new but your Z does need a lot of work. the only other decent shop to take the z to is Z Car garage in San Jose... Otherwise Speciatly Z in the LA area can take care of you too, however, both will be very pricey and more or less will force the issues to be repaired... The new DA owners and techs are capable but are still trying to save everyone money... anyhow, if you need assistance or have questions, feel free to email me and i'll point you in the right direction. take care and happy driving someday... unfortunately, your z is not daily driving ready.

Best run: 1.60 60', 11.319 @ 120.65 mph - 118 octane fuel (on 100 octane tune), 22 degrees of timing, 21-22 psi boost, 11 psi tire pressure (street slicks). "..know your car better... RACE IT!.. AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.." "Drag racing is for fast cars... Autocross is for fast drivers... Drifting is for cheap tires..." I made up the last one.. |
