Message	hi , my z was doing that not to long. my ptu gets really hot , its the location. but still not sure why it should do that. but i google on youtube 300zx ptu relocation. u weill see how it done. what i did remove the ptu n put it near the intake system it stays cold always. then i got spark. copy an paste this link online , u will see what iam talking about. i did it n it fix my problem.
