Subject	Need some help.. Installed new face guages and have a prob

Message	I installed a set of nr face gauges and thought I did everything right according to the instructions it came with. When I hook them up and turn the key to the on postion with out starting the car my speedo moves up to 20mph and my tach moves up to 1k rpm and just sits there. I have not started the z yet. I was very careful romoving the dial needles and replacing them in the same postion I took them off at, both at the stopping pin position. The intructions from nr told me to lift the speedo up to 20mph and the tach to 1k and let them drop to the stop pin. :/ sooo maybe I shouldn't have done that? Has anyone had this happen and know how I can fix it? Thanks
