| This is a follow up to a post a year ago which is now locked. At address below. But the point is that wd fixed it finally! It was a somewhat broken MAF. My son was home for break and his friend David came over. I got the CONSULT cable and Nissan Data Scan software running on the laptop and we played with it. At some point David noticed the air fuel base was 50%higher. It let us force it down and it ran good. So we figured the MAF might be bad. So my son borrowed 3 MAFs from another friend. And we tried them. The first one was even worse than ours. Which made us think that might not be it. Then we tried another MAF and presto! All idle hunting and cold start and low torque and uphill bogging is gone! It is like it use to run 5 years ago. Really nice. Smooth. Wierd thing is we had also tried replacing the MAF 3 years ago with one from a parts shop, maybe Kragens and it was worse too. So I guess we just kept getting bad ones and the one we had was just kind of broken as it kind of worked some of the time. But we are glad it is finally fixed!
