In the middle of putting my VG bac together and I decided to pull the intake cam to clean some light surface rust on two of the lobes.LIGHT RUST wiped off with a rag and wd polished it with emery cloth. The pictures will show what I found but I need realistic options. I need this car up and running as I have to move out of where I am now into my apartment and to do that I need this car together and for God sake drivable. I do have a spare cam and journal even a head....I know you guys are gonna make me change it but can I get away with how this is??? What are the pro's and cons??? If left how long will this last. It doesnt look like normal wear almost as if something got stuck in there. I dont recall the end of the intake cam to have groves thou. This is what I found on the last journal:
