| The solenoid resistance isn't related to the location of the actuator. If it shows dead, it's dead. It seems likely the injectors sat around for a long time with fuel in them and power on the solenoid, which caused your issue. New injectors are in your future. As mentioned above, modify your EFI harness to switched injector voltage (it's easy) and delete all the coolant hoses under your intake manifold (you will want to once you take it off, it will make reinstallation much easier.)
