Initially I had wanted to do the hard break in, which is idle for 20 minutes, do oil change, then go out and push it through RPMS and harder engine braking in various gears for about 75miles However, I ran into various issues with oil pressure sender, and other stuff, so it ended up being more like: 1. Primed engine 2. Idled ~20 minutes, changed oil&filter 3. Another hour total of crank-idling-shut off troubleshooting. 4. Drove around neighborhood a couple of times, no more than 10 miles probably. 5. More troubleshooting, maybe 30 minutes of idling. 6. Started driving on real roads. Started off with very light acceleration, moving through gears, keeping it under 4500 or so. Also a good bit of engine braking. 7. Can't remember exactly when, but changed oil&filter earlier than I had planned because I was suspicious of something, oil came out fine. 8. Drove some more very lightly up to 200 miles. Changed oil&filter. 9. Went on group drive, drove about 150 miles in one day. Didn't get on it real hard, kept eye on boost gauge to stay out of boost. The driving was a bit more spirited, but the group leader was in a 80s RX7, so we weren't pushing the limits by any means 10. 350-700 miles, kept with light accelerations, running through gears, plenty of engine braking. Progressively got on it a little harder, but not pushing it by any means. Might have pushed 3-4lbs of boost a couple of times, but nothing major. Engine was feeling strong. 11. Oil&filter change @ 700 miles 12. 700-900 mi, Started pushing up to boost limit @ 6 PSI. In general was running well, with a couple more troubleshooting things tackled. 13. 900 mi did timing belt and other various work. Starts weird behavior 14. 900-1200 mi, mostly not going wild, because any time I push it, it doesn't go. Played with EBC a bunch on different settings to make sure it wasn't a GAIN setting or something, but it seems to always reproduce, even if I used basic settings that I was using all along.
