I don't see why the DRL wouldn't work with the H1 bulbs provided the wattage is equivalent. I can't confirm though as my setup is different. I imported a RHD car from Japan so I had to install DRL to get it insured. I have an aftermarket HID kit for my low-beams and I wanted to use those for the DRL instead of the high-beams. Instead of installing the DRL module, I wired the HID power relay into the ECCS relay circuit. This effectively turns on the low-beams whenever the ECU powers up, and turns them off on shutdown, providing functional DRLs. The neat thing about doing it this way is that the ECU has a shut-down timer and doesn't power off the ECCS relay for a few seconds after engine shut off. This will leave the lights on for a few seconds after you get out of the car (like them fancy new cars do). The shut-down time is also a tunable parameter in the ECU code, so you could change it to say, 30 seconds, if you wanted. Sam
