I found related articles on aus300zx. But nobody seems to know the root cause. The the motor was recently overhauled with Refreshed heads and block 120k, stock injectors. The only thing that was tampered with was the motor and a painted engine bay. Upon startup the motor ran Rough and kept shooting black soot out of the exhaust. I pulled the plugs to find 2 4 6 were all black and fouled and reeked of fuel smell. The plenum had fuel in it but mostly in the passenger side. cylinders 1 3 5 on the passenger were bone dry with clean plugs. I swapped the cas for a known good one with no success. I ripped apart the front end and re did the timing belt and have yet to finish reconnecting everything. I did relocate the PTU under the nose panel. The subharness was bypassed and soldered together.
