For the guide on the pillar, you need to have the window down. Helps to remove the outside door/glass trim as well. Then you need to remove the black pillar trim on the outside of the car (plastic piece). There are push pins under the vertical seal on the pillar and 1 other kind at the bottom as well. Once removed or popped the trim will come off. Then you should be able to remove the glass and see anything it hangs up on. The seal by the mirror can hang it up as well. I usually undo it and pull it back out of the way.
