I Have been recently bringing my Z back to 100 % i did all those water hoses and pcv system from Z1 all at the same time i did my clutch.. all parts were ordered from Z1 they have quality parts at a considerable cheaper amount then factory... after i drove no more then 2 days i had smoke coming from drivers side turbo... apparently drivers side turbo was on its way out... so i bought stock auto turbos and had them rebuilt professionally, We did the work at my buddies shop and i know how to wrench been doing it for years on all different types of vehicles but mainly Nissans for the last 9 years , anyways... we started the car up and it started smoking , my first impression was "the guy rebuilt the turbos wrong" i ruled that out the minute i disconnected the pcv hoses going to the front of the valvecovers connecting to accordian inlets... the smoking stopped..by blocking or restricting the PCV as they did they cause horrible back pressure , the oil was coming out of the rear turbine housing on bothsides... hardcore crank pressure... all my problems occured after i replaced pcv system... which was enitrely bought from Z1 which they use oem nissan pcv's but the hoses are not oem. which i was glad... more flex less dry rott.. but the Z1 kit comes with 5 hoses... the rear does not have a restrictor but the other four do... and the restrictors are building up pressure nasty in the system.. ......Remove the restrictors... seriously from an engineering stand point... the diameter in the restrictors are ridiculously too small... even if you come and say "ohhh your rings are gone" ... crank pressure.. should not be held back thaaaaaat much seriously.. 4 exact points in the system in which it is being held back... i just want Z1 to read and correct this so no one else has to deal with this they must get nissan oem pcv hoses and compare to theirs. There are either too many restrictors or the size of the hole in the restrictor is causing back pressure. this would cause oil dip stick to fly out, rear main seal leak, front main seal leak, appear as if turbos are blown, valve cover gaskets leak, oil in intake manifold.... basically the worst thing ever if you are the one doing the mechanic work on the car. besides contamination of the intercooler pipes and exhaust
