Message So I've searched for a while and found several PCV re-route procedures here in TT.net and also in 300zxclub.com. Not wanting to pull the plenum again after my first PCV re-route turned out to be wrong, I decided to follow another one. It's basically a revision/reversal of the stock flow of the PCV system as illustrated below.

Since I have the PCV silicon hose set from CZP laying around, I used them to do this re-route. The PCV valves are practically new, installed them when I pulled the plenum 2 weeks ago. I used the PCV valve hoses (kept the oil restrictor inside) and connected each side to a 3/8" x 3/8" barb elbow fittings that I got from Homedepot. Then I attached a 3/8" hose to each side and routed them back to the front top of the intake valve covers using another pair of elbows, 3/8" x 5/8". Then I connected them to the silicon hoses (also kept the oil restrictor inside) for the PCV ports on the intake valve covers. From the turbo inlet accordion pipes, I ran a 1/2" hose on each side and connected them to the PCV ports in the exhaust valve covers. I don't have any oil restrictors in these hoses. Not sure if I should put restrictors in them.

My Z runs fine, no boost leaks whatsoever. However, while the car is stopped at a light, blue smoke would come out of the tail pipes once in a while. And I can smell burnt oil from inside the car. It's not a lot, unlike the amount of blue smoke from blown turbos. And it doesn't do this all the time. It's never done this before the PCV re-route either. I checked for oil leaks around the motor and didn't see any. Could this be happening because I didn't install oil restrictors in the hoses going to the exhaust valve covers? Should I have removed the oil restrictors from the PCV hoses to the intake valve covers? BTW, the turbos have been replaced last winter with new gaskets and lines.

Any hints or suggestions?
