Message Hello - I need some help friends. I have done a lot of searching and can't seem to make heads or tails of what I am dealing with. Here is where I am at:

Background: Did the 120k service, got everything back together fine and everything was running great. After a few days while driving with the windows down I noticed a very faint supercharger sound after RPM revs while it was decelerating. So I brought it into the garage and broke out the stethoscope. It was definitely RPM dependent, can really hear it well after you let off the gas, it happened warm and cold, and it was definitely coming from the timing belt cover area.

So.... After searching I was freaked out and thought I had a timing cover rubbing or worse a timing belt that was too tight. The painful disassembly began....

1. After removing the timing belt covers the sound was still there, no signs of rubbing and everything looks to be in good shape.

2. The belt tension checked in all 4 areas looks to be right in spec deflecting about 5 mm.

3. The auto tensioner is extended a perfect 4mm

4. The noise really seems to be coming from the intake sprockets. I replaced the o ring and spring so I took one apart to make sure everything was ok and it looked fine. I have read in searching VTCs can be noisy due to oil pressure etc. but my pressure seems ok.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am worried because I had to let it sit for so long doing the 120k maybe I forgot what the TT engine sounded like driving my DD so long and this is a sound that is normal and I just never thought about it.. Ahhhhhhh!
