Message	Note that cylinder 1 is the US passenger side front. 2 being US drivers side front. At TDC the exhaust valve for that cylinder should be close to opening. It sounds like you're doing it correctly. Are you confident the T belt is on correct (counting teeth is fun). Is the exhaust cam sprocket on correctly? How far apart was your engine (heads specifically) before you began assembly?
