| I'm in the process of checking my stock cams to see if/how far out of degree my cams are after resurfacing my stock heads. I'm using the following procedure found here: [ http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1124020/A-guide-to-VG-cam-degreeing.html ] I'm starting with the right exhaust cam but I'm a bit confused during the cam centerline procedure. I've found TDC using a piston stop as well as using my dial indicator so I know I've got TDC on the compression stroke. After step one of the cam centerline process do I set the crank back to TDC? I set my dial gauge up with a tad bit of preload with the cam lobe pushing the valve down then rotated the engine back to TDC but the readings I'm getting are not even close to the stock 115* BTDC exhaust centerline.
