Message	the plenum gasket shifted and is not seated properly? That's where I had one after a plenum pull when I had your symptoms. The fact that you can keep the car running by applying gas is indicative of a large air leak. Check that your throttle body hoses are fully seated on the underside too and firmly tightened.
