| I disassembled the TB's from my 90' TT. I stripped one of the throttle plate screws which lead to cutting and drilling the bolts out so I could remove the throttle shaft for powder coating. I chewed up the threads on the throttle shaft while drilling the screw out so I bought a set of TT TB's from a forum member for spare parts. I was about to assemble the right TB but found some differences between my throttle shaft and the one I'm trying to replace it with. First is the length. My stock shaft is on the top. The threads on the left side is for the throttle stop plate
This is the orientation that its installed on the right side TB. The threaded side on the right of the picture is for the throttle stop plate
Here's a few comparison shots of the second TB's I purchased. They appear to be a mirror image of my TB's with everything on the opposite of mine.
The throttle stop on the crappy TB's is on the opposite side compared to my OEM TB's.
The big problem is that I can't use this throttle shaft because there's no area to install the throttle stop
so... I'm guessing these are not TT TB's or are from a different car. Any ideas?
