I have a fresh rebuild with about 250 miles on it. For some reason when the oil gets hot like after it's been driven to normal temp then cut off and gets heat soaked for a few minutes and I crank it back up I have a lifter that ticks and won't stop till the car is completely cooled down for a few hours. It does this every time the oil gets hot. I have a oil temp gauge and when the needle hits 150* it starts ticking no matter what, like if I'm sitting in traffic or it heat soaks. I'm using 10w-30 oil. Other than that the engine runs great I just don't want to bend a valve or something. If you could just let me know if this is normal or am I looking at buying a whole new set of lifters. These were cleaned exactly how it says on this forum and they did not tick before rebuild.
