| It almost sounds like your valve guide seals are leaking due to old age. I say this because I had a similar problem with a 84 Toyota Cressida. At startup and for a short time thereafter it would bury the car in blue smoke, until the oil was burned off. It only happened after the car had been sitting overnight. I had the dealership pull the plugs, pump up each cylinder separately with air (to hold the valves closed) and replace the valve stem seals (obviously the valve covers were off and the cam shafts removed). The problem was corrected. This may be your problem, particularly on a car that is nearly 25 years old. Good Luck!
