Message	board traces touch on the connector which goes to the wiring harness? That is, which pins on the harness connector are part of that circuit? There's a nice FAQ around that shows all the pin out connections of the connector but can also found in the factory manual. Knowing this helps to figure out what at the other end of the wiring caused this issue.
