Subject	Front Wheel Bearing Bore

Message	While trying to remove the snap retainer ring for the front wheel bearing, I managed to scuff the bore using my snap ring pliers. I ran 600 grin sand paper on the scuffs trying to knock them down, but I am wondering if this is even useable? I have not pressed out the bearing race yet. I don't know why a regular snap ring with the holes wasn't used, the square ends made it very difficult to have it removed without damaging the wall. I know a seal sits on this surface so did I just jeopardize it sealing properly?
