Duh, YES. I have done all the easy stuff. Now, go look at the FSM diagnostic procedures to see where I am at. I'm no amateur at this, been working on cars for money since 1979 and also do airplanes. If this didn't have me stumped I wouldn't be asking questions. Rigging the compressor with 12v directly to a switch bypasses the pressure switch, which can blow up your AC system and/or ruin your compressor. You got lucky.
