Message Ok, so a couple months ago I was cut off in a parking lot and my front end took some damage. Basically just needed some cosmetic work done. Front bumper & lights, etc.

Prior to the accident the car was working perfectly. I had it towed from the scene of the accident and hadn't driven it until 3 days ago when I picked it up at my autobody shop.

The first thing they asked me was if I had trouble with my battery before, as it had died on them and they had to charge it. The battery was brand new about a week before the accident so I just attributed it to maybe being the light on my switch for boost controller being left on.

The second thing was they asked if the car was always blowing off a LOT of blue smoke. (It was not doing this before)

So anyway, I drive it home and sure enough it smoked a lot for the first 15 minutes or so and went away. During the drive I notice the car running really bad. Bogging out and no power if applying too much gas. Idle was jumping up and down when stopped at a red light, to the point of it actually stalling a couple times and the dashboard lighting up like a christmas tree. First thing I looked at was MAF sensor but it seemed fine.

I get in the car the next day and drive in to my local Nissan dealership and its the same thing but no smoke at all.

They ran some diagnostics and found it was running lean on one bank but couldn't do much else because of my aftermarket ECU. The service manager had one hunch that perhaps the computer was potentially damaged by the autobody guys boosting the car when the battery died. (Possibility I think is slim, but who knows)

I do have the original computer somewhere. It was given to me with a bunch of other parts when I bought the car a few years ago. I'm not sure what sort of condition it is in. It had looked like it may have gotten wet and rusted a bit.

Anyway, I guess the next step is to dig it out and see how car runs with the old one and at the very least it will allow them to run their diagnostics.

Now if the old ECU works, will my PoP charger or boost controller cause any problems? Boost is only at 9lbs on low side. Will the car just go into safe mode?

What do you guys think it may be? Any thoughts, advice?
Appreciate any help!
