Subject	Engine locked up?

Message	I did some work to my car over the weekend (egr delete,coolant bypass, headers install, injector replacements). After putting everything back together I crank it to test everything was good. Heard some light knocking and shut it off. Noticed my oils didn't read on the dip stick. I tried cranking it after putting in oil and it sounded like something jammed. Tried again and the starter seemed to scrape or knock... Would I be closer to needing another engine or a starter?
