not do a compression test on it. All sellers of "low mileage" JDM engines claim they do a compression test. They also give you a "guarantee", which has little to no value. What they do is give you an untested junkyard engine of unknown mileage, and let you install and test it for them. If it's no good, and they can't cheat you with some verbiage in the contract, (usually it's that they claim the engine was overheated by you), then they send you another untested junkyard engine of unknown mileage to test for them. Most of the shipping is at your expense, but any shipping they do is paid back by the fact that you are their unpaid engine tester. If you search on this site, you'll find some reputable people saying the Tiger direct has given them good engines, so my opinion is not the only one. It's your decision.
