Subject	Is this rust on the battery tray worth removing?

Message	So I just purchased a '90 ttZ this year and during my first plenum pull on this one I noticed the metal battery tray was rusty (even ate through on small parts as you can see in this pic)...it also looks only a tiny bit rusty underneath the area below the metal battery tray. The car overall is in great shape! (75K original miles)...my question: Is this worth trying to remove all rust on this battery tray AND underneath with just sanding, a bit of Bondo, prime & paint?? (I never done any rust repair before and could use the advice)
