Ok, I have a 91 TT 165k miles and runs perfect, minus having a rough start (never fails to start just idles pretty low after its warmed up)
As with every other TT with over 100k miles the turbo is starting to smoke... however this only happens at idle after about 30-45 seconds of idleing from the passenger side exhaust... I am used to a plume of smoke when a turbo goes. My question is how long does it have before it really goes from what i can tell over the past 1500mi the oil level hasn't changed and its not a huge amount of smoke but its definely noticeable. Im plenty capable of pulling the motor to swap the turbo... money is an object however.
