| I just replaced the radiator cap on my car since the temperature gauge was a little higher than normal, especially during stop and go traffic. I thought my fan clutch was going bad. I did not know that it was a bad radiator cap but when I got home, I check the radiator and the coolant was low. I filled it up and it happened again two days later. There were no leaks anywhere so I figure it may be the radiator cap not holding the correct pressure any more. After I changed the radiator cap, no more water loss and the car is now back to normal. So if your car is getting a little hot during traffic, check your coolant water level first before replacing the fan clutch.
