Message When the Nissan Quest alternators are nearly a direct bolt in?

Voltage regulator in the Z went out, 17v at idle and who knows what it was at when I was on the highway. Saw a bunch of a blue flashes around the dash, cluster was super bright, headlights became HID's, climate control shut off.... so I limped home.

Obviously nobody in town has a TT alternator, and the voltage regulators are even more expensive, so I had 3 Nissan Quest alternators laying around as backups for my S14. Obviously the lower mount is clocked at 7, vs 4 from the J30, which is better...no need to cut into the stock bracket. I only needed to drill out the top mounting holes, the bottom one was threaded, which I kept because I would be fitting that one with a large bolt.

I have no power steering, so I had the powersteering adjustment bracket laying around. I bolted that bracket to the lower adjustment hole, and used it as an extender because it had a hole which landed right at the 6oclock position. This is where I connected the stock alternator adjustment bracket with the PS pump adjustment bracket. I used a jam nut to space where they connected out by about a 1/2".

Everything else plugged right in, except I had to enlarge the OE ring terminal.

Took me 3 hours, everything lined up perfectly. Only downside its 110amp, but I have a ton of parts for them if something else goes bad.
