Message	and your butt dyno may not think its worth while but its worth will prove itself even more so as you upgrade. Everything your doing to the engine is in effort to increase efficiency in air flow and volume. It's a turbo engine and the easier it can breath the better. As Greg D. mentioned recently the intake/filter housing and T are a big hang up in the intake system.
