Message Ok, A little Back story:

I have acquired a '90 2+2 that has undergone a turbo swap(poorly done to add). Given the poor nature of the swap and overall care to the vehicle over time, Nature has begun its work of reclaiming this car(Rust). I found a local opportunity to pick up a rolling chassis, however it is a '96. I have a strong setup already with plans to move it over into the new chassis.

Here's the question:

I know the '96 is different, but I just do not know how much . Am I solving one problem only to arrive with another by expecting a '90 engine + ecu + wiring harness to work in a '96 chassis?

As for the interior, I'll likely keep the '90 steering wheel if the '96 column will allow so I'm not worried at all about air bags and assorted '96 features. I guess the question can simply be said: Can a '96 chassis be swapped with a pre-'96 power-train and effectively be totally converted into a pre-'96 Z32?

Sorry if the question seems VERY amature.....If you assume so, you are not far off. Any help is appreciated.
