Message I've been searching for 3 days to find the culprits, still searching but having more heads to bounce ideas off is better than struggling by myself. Quick back drop, new longblock from kyle, all the bells and whistles, new gt2560r turbos, new intake and exhaust, and re used a lot of components off the old motor. The last motor ran great until it spun all the rods after 3000k.... Bad local builder, bad product, lots of wasted money. My mod list is up to date, and almost every mod is new, but the stock parts came off my car right after the bearings blew. TPS is set correctly, everything on the intake is clean(inside and out). I got the z to fire and run on the new build, but its running incredibly rich... Plugs are covered in soot. I just bought a new craftsman timing light and its not getting any signal, I tried putting it on different plug wires with no difference. I try pulling the coil plugs while its running and there is very little difference. The idle is very erradic, when cold the motor wont stay running unless I hit the pedal, once warmed up it bounces between 700 and 1600 rpms. Its burning fuel faster than I've ever seen and smoking the fuel straight out the pipes, even with 2 fans and the garage wide open the smoke is horrible. I try adjust ing the cas while the car is "running" and it makes no difference. The cas, wiring harness, iacv, tps, selin, maf's, and cam solenoids are all from my old motor which had no electrical or idle issues. The car runs, but not well at all, and constantly starting and shutting off with such a new motor scares me so I'm trying to get peoples advice before I just keep running it until I can diognose.

next are my no where as serious issues that I haven't looked into as much;
all my head lights come on now, high and low, flipping the high beam switch makes no difference and they're all dim except one on the pass side. The turn on and off when I turn the knob, but dont switch between High and low.

there is a nasty oil leak thats covering my alt, but it appears to be coming from inside my timing covers. I don't expect anyone to tell me what this one is, but its on my to do list and if someone has an idea to check before pulling the covers I'm all ears.

my rad fan isn't coming on, my temp never got above 190, but it normally runs when I turn the key, I'll be working on that one once my motor runs smooth.

Please don't flame me for not searching, because I have searched, and I'm still doing more research too, just trying to get another head in on this. I've done plenty of motor work on z's, but never a 600 hp build so I'm not wanting to hurt the new motor.
