Subject	brake lights stay on? bad brake booster?

Message	tried bleeding the system again today, got a friend to help. got some more air out.. still the same problem but i noticed the brake light stays on for quite a long time after the car is off and no one is touching the brake pedal.. even after I disconnect the vacuum line from the brake booster. which leads to this question.. if you remove the vacuum from the booster, should brake pedal return to normal position right away? since the vacuum is gone?
