Subject	will a broken tiiming belt cause engine seizure?

Message	was cruising at 80mph when the car stalled. no strange noises. but the car won't turn over. i tried to roll it in 5th gear by myself, and was unable to(using reasonable force). i'm wondering if the timing belt broke, although it was changed @10,000 mile ago.
