You shouldn't need to purchase anything if you have a donor car. It really just depends on the condition of the parts on the donor car. Anything that looks damaged or worn out should be replaced, or you'll be doing the whole job again in a month when the used parts fail. I actualy took my 300zx TT in a couple days ago to have the automatic removed and a 5-speed installed. My total is going to be around $1250 as I did NOT have any parts up front. Things I am having to buy are: Driveshaft, Transmission, Clutch, TT Flywheel (NA will work also with slight modifications depending on if your tranny was a TT or NA), Master and Slave cylinders, hard lines (or braided equalivent), brake pedal, clutch pedal, and I think that is about it. You can use the automatic wiring harness and that should be it for the swap. Now the TT has a booster which I am attempting to get installed on mine. It's nice because it softens up the clutch for daily driving. Some people prefer not to use it so they can "feel" the clutch more. Problem is that the boosters are sold out/hard to find and can run you $300-$400 when you do find one. You do NOT want to use a used booster as it is a common failure point on higher mileage Z's.
