Subject	boost problem

Message	i have my car running on less than 9 psi the little box that its on the drivers side under the hood right next to the gas filter its broke one of the vacume lines goes in it . i understand that its like my boost valve controller im going to install an apaxi boost controller does it have its on boost valve or do i still have to change that box or what might be wrong with my car that i cant get it to at least 9 psi thank you in advance
