Message I've used propane on OUTDOOR leakers until I could get the leaks under control, then switched to the proper refrigerant.. The Problem with Propane is it's Flammable.. and the Odorant that is put in to give it' That Smell', gets removed by the Oil in the System.. so you will end up with a Flammable Mixture you can not smell.. BTDT.. Do not recommend it.. too dangerous in my book for a Car.. I've done it in industrial, and kept all the warning signs posted while doing it..

Australia uses Propane in the Cars A/C.. they call it 'Bar-B-Que Gas".. still an un-necessary hazard in my book

A Vacuum will only tell you, you have a leak BEFORE you charge it.. you already know this.. Vacuum will do you no good, unless you are doing work on it, and Looking to see if it was fixed..

I hate to recommend this.. but R134A with the Stop Leak/Dye check.. I see no other way to keep the car running and cooling..

Just keep adding the Dye Check/Stop leak mixture every time you fill the system.. It will either stop the leak, or Stop Working..

I have a 'Family' 3000GT that is in the same boat.. Stop leak or Die trying..

Good Luck..

Cj
