| Here's a quick fix next time your glove box is removed. The box comes apart very easily. Be careful to separate the two flat head screws that thread into the plastic stems from the metal screws that have a different thread pitch. Here's the box inside: 
The two culprits are the latch connecting rod; and the white plastic lever-action attached to the finger pull. It appears Nissan added plastic tube to quiet the rod, but mine still rattled. A short length of weatherstripping foam is squeezed between the connecting rod and the case, and secured with plastic zipties. 
Additional foam was added under the white lever arm. The object is to apply pressure against these parts, while retaining the full articulation of the mechanism. Use the spring action of the foam. Finally a quiet glove box and latch. Free of all rattles.
