| After testing my Series 2 PTU (the recall unit) with the test described in the '94 manual, I got absolutely no conitunity readings. Trying different polarities and terminals yielded 'overload' readings in every possible way I could test. This would lead me to believe my PTU is toast. What could cause this? Could it be the badly frayed negative battery cable? Could it have been from repair soldering the wires in the sub-harness with the PTU still connected? Could a missing bolt on the plenum to block mount cause a bad ground? Both plenum grounds were connected after my plenum pull, but don't know about any other grounds. Where are some others to check? Any ideas would be helpful. Also if you have any better methods or tips to test my PTU before I drop money to buy a new one.
