Message It's about whether the clutch fully engages and disengages, and whether it changes with heat. Signs that there is air in the lines: 1) If you have the correct play in the pedal at the top when it's cold, but then when warm, that play goes away and if feels rock-hard at the top. (The air expands with heat.) You seem to be saying that. (That it was softer when cold.) 2) If, when cold, you have to push the pedal further down to put it in gear or to keep the car from pulling itself. These clutches are notorious for being hard to bleed. Search and read up on it, then tell your mechanic.
